Knights Cruise to Easy Win

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 20th, 2023

Portland, Ore. | The Knights cruised to a huge victory over Walla Walla this afternoon by a final result of 7-0 on a cloudy day at Eastside Timbers Complex.

The Knights were extremely aggressive today outshooting the Wolves 23-5 in total shots and 16-1 in shots on goal. The Knights first goal of the match happened extremely quickly in the 4th minute by Hunter Leach assisted by Miguel-Andalon-Ordaz. It was Leach's 7th goal of the season. The second goal of the game came in the 19th minute by Bryce McCole assisted by Chanin Orlandin. It was his 11th goal of the season. The third goal of the game was scored once again by Hunter Leach in the 33rd minute of the season assisted by Mateo Rusca. It was Leach's 8th goal of the year. The fourth goal of the game was scored in the 44th minute by Miguel Andalon-Ordaz assisted by Antonio Feroglia. It was Ordaz's first goal of the season. The fifth goal of the game was scored by the before mentioned Mateo Rusca in the 53rd minute assisted by Bodo Torrest. It was Bodo's 3rd goal of the season. The sixth goal of the game was scored by Omar Seoudy unassisted in the 67th minute for his 2nd goal of the season. The final goal of the game was scored by Bryce McCole in the 82nd minute for his 12th goal of the season.

Knight's goalkeeper, Josepher Juarez-Cruz, didn't have to do much today which is always a good thing. He only had one shot on goal at him and he saved it with ease. Jacob Ribail who hadn't played yet this season, got some run for the last 20 minutes in net which was cool to see.

"I was most encouraged by our professional approach to the match which enabled us to get many players well deserved minutes," Head Coach, Troy Ready said. "This team is full of talented players who train hard day in and day out so to see them able to express themselves in a game was a joy to watch. Sunday against Rocky Mountain provides us another opportunity to refine who we are and continue building upon our attacking and defending identity."
