Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Softball Program has signed sophomore transfer Sofia Cherry to the 2025 squad.
 
"We are excited to have Sofia coming back home and joining the WarnerPac," Head Coach Ashton Porter said. "She is a local kid that made a name for herself in the area throughout her high school and club days. She brings tons of talent as well as a great team mindset. She will be a great addition and will come in eager to fight with this team."
 
Like mentioned, Cherry is from right here in Portland, Oregon and attended Westview High School until completion in the spring of 2024. Cherry played softball all four years of high school. Cherry during her time at Westview was named as First-Team Catcher three years in a row as well as Second-Team Outfielder her freshman year. After high school, Cherry attended Odessa College for her first year of eligibility. After her freshman year, Cherry is now transferring her to Warner Pacific to play catcher and outfield for the Knights. Cherry is planning on continuing her education in business with a minor in health.

A fun fact about Cherry is that she loves to lift and study both health and wellness.
