Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific University women's volleyball program is excited to announce the addition of true freshman libero/defensive specialist Cadence Holmes to the Knights.

A native of Molalla, Oregon, Holmes joins Warner Pacific after attending Molalla High School. The local standout will remain close to home as she takes the next step in her academic and athletic career with the Knights.

During her high school career, Holmes established herself as a strong defensive presence for Molalla. Her performance on the court earned her Second Team All-League honors, along with Honorable Mention recognition for league MVP.

Holmes will join Warner Pacific as a libero/defensive specialist, adding another option to the Knights' back row. Her defensive abilities and experience will give her an opportunity to contribute in serve receive and help strengthen Warner Pacific's defensive unit.

Head Coach Nerisa Laban is excited to keep another talented Oregon player close to home.

"Cadence is a defensive specialist home grown right here in Oregon," Laban said. "She comes to us with amazing energy, court IQ, and a hunger to play competitive volleyball. She's an amazing addition to our Knights family."

Off the court, Holmes plans to pursue a degree in elementary education with a minor in coaching at Warner Pacific. Her academic path will allow her to combine her passion for education with her experience in athletics.

The Knights are excited to welcome Holmes to the Warner Pacific family and look forward to seeing the Molalla native continue her development both on the court and in the classroom.
