Knights Shine In Weekend Meets

Portland, Ore.| Warner Pacific track and field had themselves quite the weekend at the L&C Electric Forest Open and the OSU PNW Invite with many successful stories.
 
There were many big time performances across the board this weekend complete with PR's, podium finishes, and athletes stepping up in a big way. On Friday at the OSU PNW Invite, Lilly Halberg PR'd in the 200 meter with a 27.11 time which was a .66 drop from her previous personal record. Frederick Watkins PR'd in the 1500 meter race finishing in 4:01 which was a drop of 4:10.
 
Today at the L&C Electric Forest Open, Naomi Johnson finished first in the high jump for her first podium finish of her career. Chris Kanda finished fifth overall in the men's high jump. In the long jump, Lilly Halberg impressed once again with another PR jumping 16'7" which was good enough for second place in the event. Connor Bailey competed in the 1500 meter race and PR'd and Gavin Fuller PR'd in the 400 meter race. J'Quan Collins finished 7th in the 100 meter race and Lilly Halberg PR'd in the women's 100 meter race finishing with a time of 12.8 which was a .28 improvement. J'Quan Collins finished second overall in the 200 meter race and Gavin Fuller PR'd in the same event.

The Knights will be back in action on April 4th at the Linfield Jen Boyman Memorial Invite.
