Braylon Yamada Leads Clubhouse After Day One of Tournament of Knights

Portland, Ore.| The second annual Tournament of Knights had their first round today out at Glendoveer Golf Course and saw Braylon Yamada of Warner Pacific lead the field shooting a two under par 71 for the day.
 
This tournament contains Corban Universities reserves team, Warner Pacific's varsity and reserves team, and Olympic College's varsity and reserves squad.
 
The Knights varsity team finished tied for first place with Olympic College's varsity squad with both teams top four golfers shooting 300 for the day. Warner Pacific's reserves team finished the day third shooting 312 followed by Corban Universities reserves who shot a 323. Olympic College's reserves squad finished the day in the rear shooting 325.
 
Knights head coach Gary Akiyama was pleased with the result after day one. "I was pleased with the way all the Knights grinded and never gave up. There were some tough pin placements, but they kept their heads in the game and fought through."
 
Next Up
The Tournament of Knights will wrap up tomorrow when the teams meet again out at Glendoveer Golf Course to play the final 18 holes with the first tee time being at 9am.
