Klamath Falls, Ore.| The Warner Pacific University men's golf team opened play at the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational on Monday, completing the first two rounds at The Running Y Ranch Resort. The Knights finished the opening day in 10th place in the team standings at +46, with several Warner Pacific golfers showing improvement during the second round.

Braylon Yamada led the way for Warner Pacific through the first 36 holes. Yamada opened the tournament with a 7-over first round before turning in an even-par second round, an improvement of seven strokes. His two-round total of +7 placed him tied for 38th individually heading into the final round.

Jack Dalberg also put together a strong opening day for the Knights. After shooting 7-over in Round 1, Dalberg improved by three strokes with a 4-over second round. His +11 overall score placed him tied for 47th.

Micah Chadwick made one of Warner Pacific's biggest improvements between rounds. Chadwick carded an 11-over opening round before responding with a 4-over performance in Round 2, improving by seven strokes. He finished the day at +15 overall and in 56th place.

Edison Quides-Nihipali entered the clubhouse at +17 overall, putting him tied for 58th. Quides-Nihipali opened the tournament with a 6-over first round before finishing Round 2 at 11-over.

Orlando Chiquiti finished the first two rounds at +19, placing him tied for 60th. Chiquiti recorded a 7-over opening round before shooting 12-over in the second round.

Competing as an individual, Henry Paul finished day one at +16 and in 57th place. Paul opened with a 6-over round before carding a 10-over second round.

As a team, Warner Pacific shot +27 in the opening round before improving by eight strokes with a +19 second round, giving the Knights a +46 total through 36 holes.

At the top of the team leaderboard, British Columbia established itself as the tournament leader at 21-under, six strokes ahead of Lewis-Clark State at 15-under. College of Idaho and Oregon Tech were tied for third at 6-over, followed by Simpson in fifth at 10-over. Bushnell (+13), Corban (+16), Southern Oregon (+19), Walla Walla (+29), and Warner Pacific (+46) rounded out the team standings.
