Portland, Ore. | Mike Wilson, Warner Pacific University's Director of Athletics, has announced the resignation of
Randy Dalzell, Head Coach of Cross Country and Track & Field.
With countless accolades including multiple Coach of the Years, three National Championships, and more than 25 years of experience, Dalzell joined the staff of Warner Pacific in 2018. During the three years of his tenure, the Idaho native produced 20 Academic All-Conference athletes, one Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Athlete of the year, three CCC Player of the Weeks, three CCC Champions, six National Qualifiers, and three NAIA All-Americans.
Most recently, two athletes in the sports of Women's Cross-Country and Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field received Conference Champion and National All-American honors under Dalzell's leadership. Amelia Pullen (Women's Cross-Country) was named 2019 Cascade Collegiate Conference Champion and Women's Runner of the Year, finished 10th in the nation in the 5k, earning All-American status and was named 2019 USTFCCCA NAIA National West Region Women's Athlete of the Year.
Brittany Coleman (Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field) was named Cascade Collegiate Conference Champions and record setter in Triple Jump back-to-back, making an appearance at Nationals in both Indoor and Outdoor Track, with as high of a finish as 4th in the nation.
