Knights Drop Last Two to COI

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 28th, 2026

Caldwell, Idaho.| Warner Pacific Softball finished their four game series today against The College of Idaho. And lost the series losing both game to the Yotes. Game one 6-1 and game two 10-3.

Game Three

This game quickly got started in the first for the Yotes scoring two in the first. Then breaking the game broke open in the fourth inning, where the Coyotes piled on four runs with a solo home run and RBI doubles to get out in front 6-0.  Warner Pacific's lone run came in the fifth on a RBI single, but was all for the as they couldn't use that to spark anything.

Offensively, Warner Pacific was shut down to three hits. The biggest hit coming from a pinch hit off the bench to get an RBI. Despite three hits the Knights had lots of balls in play with four strikeouts so they couldn't get anything to drop for them. Kili Makanani would start for the Knights in this one and give up all of the Yotes six runs in 3.2 innings of work. Alex Brooks would close out this game shutting down the Yotes only giving up three runs with no runs allowed.

Game Four

The final game of the series started off strong for the knights they got it going in the second on a big two run single. That lead would last short though as in the bottom half the Yotes would score two runs on multiple hits. They would capitalize on that momentum scoring another three runs in the bottom half once again getting multiple hits. The knights would get a run back in the fifth on a double but would be all they could get. The Yotes would explode and put the game out of reach in the bottom of the sixth scoring five runs getting the series win after this game.

The Knights had a better game on offense collecting seven hits multiple one hit games for the Knights. Kiara Kamimae would come up big with her one hit getting two rbis in the process. Along with Kasey Wallace getting hit and RBI. In the circle, Macy Tovar would get the start and get knocked out early only pitching 2.2 innings giving five earned runs on eight hits. Nia Tovar would finish this game pitching 3.1 innings also giving up 5 earned runs but on four hits.
