Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific University men's soccer program has announced the signing of true freshman recruit Bakarr Kargbo for the upcoming season. Kargbo joins the Knights from Las Vegas and attended Gresham High School.

"Bakarr is an athletic and fierce competitor who adds depth to our already impressive roster," Head Coach Troy Ready said. "As an incoming local freshman, he will quickly gain the attributes needed for being effective within our conference."

During his high school career, Kargbo competed in soccer for three seasons and developed into a strong contributor for Gresham High School. His efforts helped his team earn a spot in the OSAA State Playoffs, and he was recognized individually with OSAA Honorable Mention honors for his performance on the field.

Kargbo's athleticism, determination, and continued growth as a player make him an exciting addition to the Knights program as Warner Pacific continues building for the future. Coaches are eager to see his skills translate to the collegiate level and contribute to the team's success.

Away from soccer, Kargbo plans to pursue studies in life science at Warner Pacific, balancing his academic goals with his commitment to athletics. His interest in science reflects the well-rounded approach he brings as a student-athlete.

One of the more unique facts about Kargbo is his musical background. In addition to soccer, he also plays the violin, showcasing his creativity and discipline beyond the field.

The Knights are excited to welcome Kargbo to campus and look forward to his future contributions both academically and athletically at Warner Pacific University.
