Knights Sign A New Keeper

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 2nd, 2026

PORTLAND, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights men's soccer program is excited to announce the addition of junior transfer Caleb Coronel to the roster for the upcoming season.

A native of Yakima, Washington, Coronel graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2024 after a standout athletic career that showcased his versatility and competitive spirit. A two-sport athlete, Coronel excelled in both soccer and football throughout his high school years.

On the soccer field, Coronel established himself as one of the area's top goalkeepers, earning All-League honors for his performances between the posts. His athletic ability and leadership helped make him a key contributor for the Cadets throughout his high school career.

Coronel's talents extended beyond soccer as he also starred on the football field. He earned All-League recognition as a linebacker, punter, and kicker, demonstrating a rare combination of toughness, athleticism, and skill across multiple positions.
Following high school, Coronel continued his academic and athletic journey at Columbia Basin College, where he spent the past two years further developing as a student-athlete. The experience gained at the collegiate level has prepared him well for the next step in his career with the Knights.

Head Coach Troy Ready believes Coronel's experience and talent will make an immediate impact on the program.

"Caleb is an incredibly talented goalkeeper who has all of the qualities to excel within our program," Ready said. "He's been within a very successful program at Columbia Basin and will bring the right mentality into our environment."

At Warner Pacific, Coronel plans to pursue a degree in sports business while competing for the Knights men's soccer program. His passion for athletics and interest in the business side of sports make the program an ideal fit for his future goals.
Away from competition, Coronel enjoys spending time in the kitchen and has developed a passion for cooking. His ability to prepare a variety of meals has become a favorite fun fact among family, friends, and teammates.

The Knights are thrilled to welcome Coronel to Portland and look forward to the experience, leadership, and versatility he will bring to the program. His athletic background, collegiate experience, and competitive mindset will make him a valuable addition both on and off the field for Warner Pacific.
