PORTLAND, Ore. – Chelsey Christensen and Tori Carroll combined for 55 points to lead Warner Pacific to an 83-77 win over Southern Oregon tonight in Portland.

Carroll's 27 points is a career high as the senior found holes in the Raider zone defense for numerous open looks at the basket. Christensen added 28 points by hitting 11 of 16 attempts from the floor.

Southern Oregon (12-4, 3-3 CCC) had a trio of players score in double figures led by Melissa Sweat with 23 points. The Raiders as team made just 2 of 24 tries from three point range however.

SOU led by as many as five in the early first half, only to see Warner Pacific build nine point advantage with 7:20 to play thanks to a Christensen score in the paint. The Raiders responded with an 8-0 run capped by a pair of free throws from Angelica Cahee, but WPC regrouped to take a 48-43 lead into the locker rooms.

The Raiders started the second period with another 8-0 run to climb ahead 51-48, but Carroll drained a jump shot to send WPC back in front at the 16:12 mark and the Knights did not trail again. SOU's Alexi Smith scored at the rim with 1:57 to play to make the score 79-75, but the Raiders drew no closer.

Smith roamed the painted area for 18 points and 17 rebounds for SOU, while Allison Gida added 17 points and five assists before fouling out.

Ali Campbell contributed eight points and four rebounds to the Knight cause, and Nichole Jackson dished out 14 assists.
