Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. - Southern Oregon used a 21-2 run early in the second to break open a close game and send Warner Pacific to a 97-81 loss at
Bart Valentine Court.
After Jordan WIlcox hit a three pointer for Warner Pacific on their opening possession of the second half, the Knights (6-22, 2-15 CCC) trailed by just eight points. That's when the Raiders made their push to increase their lead to 27 points for WPC could restore order. The Knights staged a brief rally that closed the gap down to 17 points with 5:24 to play, but SOU kept the advantage with timely shooting and accuracy from the free throw line.
Southern Oregon (22-7, 11-6 CCC) enjoyed a sizeable advantage at the free throw line, making 39 of 59 attempts for the game. On the other hand, the host Knights were 22 of 32.
The Raiders were led by Alison Gida with 19 points and six rebounds, while Carly Meister added 17 points.
Ali Campbell tossed in 17 points off the bench to lead Warner Pacific.
Courtney Walchli contributed 12 points and a game high nine rebounds.
